Sundowner Amateur Fishing Club Inc.

The following events are held at the Beenleigh Bowls and Recreation Club "Home of the Sundowners Amateur Fishing Club Inc."

General Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each Month, except December.  Meetings commence at 7.00pm.

Raffles are conducted every Wednesday, commencing at 5.30pm.

Weigh-ins are held monthly commencing at 4.00pm on the Sunday of the designated competition weekend.

EVENTS HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

King of the Pin        

Major Annual Fishing Competition, also open to the general public.  The Sundowner Amateur Fishing Club's major fundraising event.  The Beenleigh Special School is a beneficiary of this event.

Social BBQ's

Held throughout the year at various venues.

Men's Camp Out

Held once each year (boy's weekend away!), at South Stradbroke Island.

Family Camp Out

Held at least once each year ( family fun and relaxation), at South Stradbroke Island.  If there is a second camp out organised, this is held at Maroon Dam.

Christmas Party

Family get-together, BBQ, fun and games!  Santa even pops in for a visit!

Other social events are often organised, such as Golf Days and Inter-Club competitions.

Southern Brisbane Sportfishing Club Inc.

Meets on the first Monday night of every month (except January) at 7.15pm for 7.30pm, even on Public Holidays.  The meetings typically end at 9.30pm.

The Club caters for all standards of experience, and provides a friendly atmosphere for families to come along and learn from our many experienced anglers.  One of the major benefits is the ability to learn new styles and methods of fishing.  Club trips offer chances to 'catch that big one'.
